Twins? No. Sisters? No. Friends? Yes!

Hi! We’re Brooke and Bryceleigh, the girls behind the “Friends Not Twins” blog.  We are new moms, teachers, and best friends, but not twins! Whenever we are together (which is almost always), we get asked multiple times if we are twins.  Our response is always, “no, just best friends!”

We started this blog to document our friendship, our transition into motherhood, and our lives raising our two precious boys.

Our goal is to be as transparent as possible in order to capture what life is really like for us as working/stay-at-home moms on a daily basis!  As we grow and learn together, we hope to bring you encouragement, inspiration, or at least some entertainment!

Meet Brooke

Welcome! Here are a few facts about me!

I’m 29 years old, a wife, a new mom, and a kindergarten teacher . I live in Virginia Beach with my husband Chris, our son Camden, and our fur babies, Gucci and Zoe. Camden was born this past May and is the light of our lives! Our journey to become parents wasn’t easy but, we are very thankful to have such a sweet baby boy.

Juggling being a new mom, wife, friend, and teacher can make life a little crazy. I love the idea of documenting our lives while providing inspiration and a good laugh. I have a passion for beauty, fashion, home decor, and of course all things pertaining to family life.

Meet Bryceleigh

Welcome! Here are a few facts about me!

I’m 30 years old and a stay-at-home mom. I live in Virginia with my husband Jerry, our son Kipton, and our fur baby, Reef. Before becoming a mom, I was a kindergarten teacher (Brooke and I taught at the same school across the hall from each other!)

Since I was a little girl, I have always had a passion for clothes, shoes, and accessories! Playing dress-up and posing for pictures was one of my favorite things to do! As I got older, I developed an additional passion for interior design and home organization. I am obsessed with decorating and organizing and am always looking for ways to update my home!

The whole “mom thing” is new to me, as Kipton (or “Kip” for short) was born in October of 2015. I learn something new about him, about being a mom, and about myself every day! It is definitely the greatest blessing and job I’ve ever been given!
